Answer: It very much depends upon which part of Russia, Russia is an awefully BIG place you know?. Russia is the BIGGEST land masses on earth!!, has 8 or 9 time zones from west to east. Can take as long as three weeks to travel by train from one side to the other. Even by modern Aircraft its an awefully long flight from west to east, I think its atleast 24hrs in the air.

**My guess is that if your staying around the Moscow area you will probably not have any problems with signals or reception for your phone. Dont know about top up's though.

**However if your going outside of the Moscow area that might be more problematic, espcially if your going to some where very remote like the Kamchatka peninnsula.
